CLUB PROFILE
The Oldest and Largest Wildfowling club in Scotland which is Associated to The British Association for Shooting and Conservation.
Chairman : The Tay Valley Wildfowler’s Association is a well known and respected club situated on the Tay estuary at Newburgh Fife Scotland. With a membership of 70 full 22 associated and 3 junior which makes us the largest in Scotland, so why not come and join us to preserve Scottish Wildfowling on the Tay Estuary.
OUR CLUB
The club was founded in 1949 by local Wildfowler's to preserve their Wildfowling rights on the Tay Estuary. With an original membership of 8 the T.V.W.A. Was the first club in Scotland and the fifth club in the UK to gain affiliation to WAGBI now known as The British Association for Shooting and Conservation.
The club still actively supports shooting in and around Fife and Tayside, and as a member of B.A.S.C. All our members have considerable insurance cover in addition to backing of professional help in shooting and conservation matters.
Although still having strong Wildfowling links the clubs 100 members have a varied interest in country sports, from fishing and gundog trials to driven game shooting. We have a Junior Section and an Associated Section for visiting Wildfowler's to the Tay estuary.
The club has a Conservation Committee which looks after the clubs conservation policy and management plan on the Tay estuary. All club members are welcome and encouraged to help in all conservation matters.
Full Membership
As a full member you will be made a member of B.A.S.C. And you will be entitled to attend the Tay Valley committee meeting and the AGM. Your membership is renewable on the first of September each year and is valid for 12 months.
Junior Membership
Junior Members are aged 0 to 17 year and have the full rights as an adult member
Associated Membership
As a Associated Member you are supported by the club with information on all matters concerning the Tay estuary. With all access points and rights of way to the foreshore. You will not be made a member of B.A.S.C. And you will not be entitled to attend any meeting however you will be welcome any other time.
